GLOBAL UNDERSCORE 22nd June 2014
The Global Underscore is a
simultaneous practice of the Underscore practiced around the world since 2000.
In 2014, this is on June 22nd, 3pm onwards (GMT).
The Global Underscore practice
is an Underscore slightly modified by the addition of two "small dance"
stands coordinated by a "facing list". During each "small
dance" stand, the participants face in the direction of the next site on
the map; first in one direction and then at the other according to a
"facing list", which is comprised of all of the sites (except
satellite sites). The opening "small dance" stand happens just
after "preambulation" at the beginning of
"skinesphere". The closing "small dance" stand,
facing the other direction, occurs after the "thanksgiving and
sharing" closing circle, concluding the Global Underscore.
@TheGlasgowJam's Global
Underscore sees us at KPC.
Space opens at 2.30pm, at
which time, Penny will lead a short talk through of the score for those
unfamiliar with it. The practice begins at 3pm, in time with the rest of the
world, and we will conclude by 7pm. Please see this as a committed practice -
these times help us to stay part of the "chain" across the world, so
let's do try to stay as a group, everyone participating in whichever way they can and choose to.
The Global Underscore is
suitable for anyone who has come to a jam or ci class before - whether it be
one or many!
