Dear Jammers, Can you feel spring is finally near? Nature is beginning to open and now is the time to awaken every cell in your body by moving it! Laura started her new job at the Conservatoire and is organising a symposium on self-care for performers at Glasgow University of the 5 March. An interesting topic close to contact improvisation too. How do you take care of yourself in your daily life? @TGJ, we move mindfully, of course. It works! February jams were led by our very own Penny Chivas and her collaborator Sara Bizzoca from Italy. Such a joy to get to share their explorations. And yes, you guessed it, we are planning a jam as part of Dance International Glasgow. Dear Jammers, Well, 2017 has well and truly started... and ah... what a better thing to do these days than to dance and feel part of a community of diverse people. Bring some warmth and joy to these days! I am up to Aberdeen this Sunday the 5th of February to teach a CI workshop into a jam, hosted by Citymoves. If you are up that way, please do come and join in! Also, later in February we have a guest facilitator from Italy -Sara Bizzoca! Some of you will remember Sara from a jam she led for us last year as well. Our friends in Edinburgh are also hosting a fantastic workshop in March as well. Please see attached flyer. The time promises to be a rich one with work drawing upon Authentic Movement, as well as a day of FLYING for experienced movers. Below are our jams in Glasgow, links to other dance classes in Glasgow as well as jams in Edinburgh. Penny and Laura xx FEBRUARY CLASS:  Sunday 12 February ---12-1pm --- Penny Chiva...

Dear Jammers, Happy New Year! We are so grateful for a wonderful 2016 here @TheGlasgowJam: we have had more regular participants than ever, our community is building a solid foundation of practitioners and facilitators, and we have hosted a number of very exciting workshops. Here is to more in 2017. We do have exciting plans we will be unveiling in the coming months so keep an eye out for our newsletters and Facebook updates. Remember that, from January 2017, our jams will be £7, and our Sunday class and jam will be £12. If you can, please bring the correct amount, as we will only have a few opportunities to give change. As always, we are keen to hear from volunteers to help directly at our jams, or give time in another way should finance ever be a question of attendance.  Is there anything you would like us to do differently in 2017? Any skills you would like us to focus on, practitioners you would like us to invite? We are always open to your suggestions and va...
