Important annoucement – June 2016 jams

We, @TheGlasgowJam, have always been proud to serve the community that has grown around us since our first jam in January 2013. This pride motivates us to run our unique programme of jams, workshops and classes. We hope that each of you feel proud to be a part of it all too. Today, we remain a volunteer-led organisation. This means we are reliant on the generous voluntary work of particular individuals and on you, our community, to keep us running. Our structure means that small changes can have a significant effect on our economic viability. One such change is the fluctuation in attendance. Most of the time we can absorb this but, unfortunately, numbers at recent jams have been unusually low. This has caused us to need to take some short-term action to sustain @TheGlasgowJam. Dear Jammers! We hope everyone is enjoying the slightly warmer weather as we head into spring! We have some really events coming up that you should keep your eyes on!! Firstly, a jam as part of Glasgow International in The Art School on April 20th, and our participation in the Global Underscore on June 19th (come dance the same score as people ALL across the world!), as well as a chance to become part of our team! Details below, Glasgow Jam listings, and Edinburgh ones too!! Help is required on social networking, preparing studio space for jams as well as general basic admin duties. @TheGlasgowJam is a volunteer lead community arts organisation encouraging people from many walks of life to come  move, draw, sing and create music, and as such relies heavily on volunteers to move the organisation forwards.
