I would like to invite you to a class in which we explore how yielding our body

weight to the ground can work as an underlying support. In this movement inquiry,

yielding is our starting point from where we can move out into space. Some further

questions can be explored:

+ Does yielding our physical substance to gravity offer a pathway for resting in

ourselves while interacting with others through movement?

+ And what does it do to our moving bodies and the way we communicate with each

other when we resist an ever present force that invites us to yield?

In this class I will be drawing on principles of BMC®1

learnt these thanks to the Somatic Movement Education Program which I started in

September 2014. In particular my focus will be on the Basic Neurocellular Patterns

which are suggested to underlie the physical development of our organism.

The class is open for those who are curious about exploring the moving body, and

how we can communicate through movement.

We will work with movement and touch. If something does not feel comfortable it

is absolutely fine to not participate on a physical level.

Please wear layers of clothes as we will switch between moving and lying down.

After the class @TheGlasgowJam will take place with Nina from 13:00-16:30 at the

KPC. It is a great opportunity to continue the movement exploration and I would be

happy to jam with you after the class.
