FORUM Notes on @TGJ

On the 12th October 2013 we hosted our first discussion forum "An Opening Question". The idea was to bring people together to BEGIN conversations and to OFFER provocations to one another and the community at large to foster an culture of ONGOING CONVERSATION. Below are the notes from the theme "@TheGlasgowJam". DISCUSSION "An Opening Question"

Join us on Saturday night for a discussion about all things  @TGJ, Improvisation and Accessibility... THIS EVENT IS FREE AND OPEN TO ALL!!! + Why do we pay a fee to take part in @TGJ jams? + When will we get to specifically explore our voices workshop? + What is a jam and how is it different to a class? + What are scores and why are they useful? + Why does @TGJ not have a more diverse attendance?... It is a chance for us all to ask the questions we need to ask and let the community at large to help us to begin work through them. It is a chance for us all to bring our wealth of experience and knowledge to the room to contribute to the discussion. I will begin with a short introduction, offering some background to @TGJ and offering the structure for the session. Pens and paper will be provided but it may also be helpful to bring a notebook with you if you want to take notes. It is An Opening Question, hopefully opening to further discussions running ...
