April Newsletter

Dear Jammers!

We hope everyone is enjoying the slightly warmer weather as we head into spring!

We have some really events coming up that you should keep your eyes on!! Firstly, a jam as part of Glasgow International in The Art School on April 20th, and our participation in the Global Underscore on June 19th (come dance the same score as people ALL across the world!), as well as a chance to become part of our team!

Details below, Glasgow Jam listings, and Edinburgh ones too!!

All the best,
Penny and Laura xx

@TheGlasgowJam  is looking for two enthusiastic volunteers to help with our day to day running of the jam. Help is required on social networking, preparing studio space for jams as well as general basic admin duties. @TheGlasgowJam is a volunteer lead community arts organisation encouraging people from many walks of life to come  move, draw, sing and create music, and as such relies heavily on volunteers to move the organisation forwards. Our most recent projects include work in the Wayside Centre (Marie Trust), as well as our regular class and jam programme.

As a volunteer, you will receive access to our jams and classes for free, as well as understanding how an organisation such as @TGJ operates. There is also the possibility to gain administration upskilling and/or mentoring on our artistic programme.

Please apply with a brief statement of interest to theglasgowjam@gmail.com (with "volunteer opportunities" in the header of the email) by April 15th. We will arrange an information day in May to meet and greet and understand more about the work of the Jam.
